If you look closer and see by the eyes of a Keralite then its not much more than any regular screwed up state in India.
A state haunted by the literacy rate that we r proud of . People in kerala are so literate that they raise their voice n protest against whtz good as well as bad for us.
A single month doesnt go past without a hadtaal, strike or bandh
U think of starting a business in kerala; means u r insane enough to even think f it.
A thousand political parties pop up every day, some secular, some idealistic, some communist,some religious n yet some fr just taking advantage when the iron is hot.
Every day you hear of someone killing someone n a lot more.
But you know one thing which is the best as well as the worst thing of Kerala... its people
Its fantastic that in kerala when you sleep at night u have peace of mind..
Even though theres a lot of flaws in this land and its people.. its our strength to accept each others flaws and live with it that keeps us together.
This is personified in the way we live in kerala..
The language is the same but different in different places..
The people are the same but different traditions and customs in different places
A land with varied religions,castes and sects of people all living together in harmony with some notes of the orchestra going up and down once in a while.
The spirit and soul of kerala is what we call ONAM.Its unbelievable how one festival and that too a hindu one in belief brings together all the people in kerala.
Be it a Christian, Muslim or Hindu we all celebrate onam as one soul and spirit..
Lets come together and remember the one folk lore .. story or to say the one man lord Mahabali who brought us together ; not because he was a king but because he loved his people more than his kingship and kingdom..
At least let's love each other..
